The route follows a fascinating urban landscape, offering a mix of bustling city streets, cultural hotspots, and quiet residential areas.

The journey starts at the Shinjuku Station South Gate and passes through the famous Kabukicho district, known for its vibrant nightlife and entertainment. Nearby, we encounter Okubo Park before entering Shin-Okubo, Tokyo’s Korea Town. This area is packed with Korean restaurants, shops, and street food stalls offering delicacies like tteokbokki and bulgogi. As we walk further, we reach Shin-Okubo Station, a key hub for exploring this multicultural part of the city.

Continuing northward, we arrive at Takadanobaba Station, a district known for its connection to Astro Boy, the legendary manga character. Takadanobaba is also a student-friendly area with many affordable restaurants catering to the local university crowd. Just beyond is Mejiro Station, a serene residential area that contrasts with the previous busy districts. Here, we pass by Gakushuin University, an institution historically attended by members of the Japanese Imperial family.

Finally, the walk concludes at Ikebukuro Station, another major Tokyo transport hub renowned for its department stores, vibrant shopping districts, and attractions like Sunshine City. This part of the journey showcases a mix of Tokyo’s lively city life and laid-back residential charm, making it a must-watch for anyone planning a trip to Japan!
