Hey everyone. This is the first entry in the “JVG Blog” such as it is. This will be where I let you all know what’s going on with the site.

It’s coming together pretty well. Right now:

• I’m attempting to purge the “shorts” (length < 60s) from the site. I don’t really think they add much value overall, just because of their length. They also don’t lend themselves well to summarization, either.
• After that I’ll purge the videos that aren’t allowed to be embedded on 3rd party sites. It sucks because a lot of those are really really good videos, but there’s nothing to show here. So… yeah.
• Also working on eliminating those that have been removed/unlisted/etc. from YouTube altogether. See above.
• The next step is to implement those checks (and others) into the initial import stage, so they never get put up here in the first place(!) and waste everyone’s time.
