On February 2, 2025, Kyoto's Yasaka Shrine (八坂神社) hosted a special Gion Taiko (祇園太鼓) drum performance as part of the Setsubun (節分) celebrations. The event took place at 2:00 PM, bringing powerful drumming rhythms to the historic shrine grounds.

Setsubun, a traditional Japanese festival marking the beginning of spring, is celebrated across Japan with rituals meant to ward off evil spirits and invite good fortune. Kyoto, with its deep-rooted cultural heritage, holds vibrant Setsubun festivities, particularly at Yasaka Shrine, one of the city's most famous landmarks.

During the performance, the thunderous beats of the Gion Taiko drums filled the air, creating an awe-inspiring experience for visitors.
